LFE Custom Photofield Airport for RealFlight 7.0
Have fun with this and let me know how we can make it better.

Download File for RealFlight 7.0/ Importing
Livermore Flying Electrons_PI.RFX (27 MB)
Once you’ve downloaded the above RFX file, launch RealFlight and from the menus go to:
Simulation > Import > RealFlight Archive and select the Livermore Flying Electrons_PI.RFX you’ve just downloaded. RealFlight will do the rest.
RealFlight pre version 7.0
If you are on an earlier version of RealFlight, don’t use the above as you will get errors regarding an object that has been updated for version 7. Instead download the file below as I’ve gone back and specifically recreated it using RF 6.0. Should also work fine on RF 5.5.
Livermore Flying Electrons RF6_PI.RFX (26 MB)
History:
07/08/14: Created RF 6.0 specific version of file for comparability with pre 7.0 version of RF. Uploaded to KnifeEdge.com swap pages.
06/29/14 (2.0):
- Re-photographed airfield with the sun in a better position so the east end of runway is now a higher quality image. Sky is clear intentionally, be sure to turn on RF clouds (very cool with some wind).
- Pits fence image has been replaced with RF see through fencing so aircraft appear properly behind the pits. Pit shade structures and tables have been modeled so aircraft appear and collide correctly in pits area.
- Berm has been expanded and the Bulldozer has been added as a RF object – bonus points if you can hit the bulldozer.
- Collision objects have been added/adjusted where needed.
11/18/13 (0.2): Widened gate for Lenny’s BigStick. Corrected direction of airport so that headings display correctly (thanks Dale). Cleaned up panoramic image in a couple of places. Added dynamic USA flag.
10/10/13: Confirmed by member to work on RF 5.5. Does not work on version 4.
10/9/13 (0.1): Initial proof of concept version. Basic collision objects in place, more accurate alignment/sizing of collision objects still needed. Objects further behind pits still need to be added along with objects to the far right of field (eg. water tower) along with Bulldozer to the left. Pit shade needs individual constructs in place of current placeholders. Small corrections to panoramic image still needed (fences, runway, power pole wires). Panoramic to be later replaced with sun in better position.
