I have to admit, I was a bit worried when we showed up at the Community Center today and Louis, our hostess, said she would “round up” some participants. Round up? Who was she going to get? Brett and I were envisioning Louis telling the ladies playing BINGO to stop what they were doing and come into this room in the back to listen to a real estate agent talk about downsizing. Fortunately, our worry was all for not.
We had a wonderful audience attend what the community center calls their “Wisdom Wednesday.” The majority of the participants are thinking of making a move sometime in the future. None has a specific plan as of yet. I had to commend all of them for planning ahead. Quite frankly, a move, especially when someone is looking to downsize from a home they have lived in for an extended period of time, can be emotionally and physically challenging. The more planning ahead that is done the easier the transition can be. It was a pleasure to speak with this great group of people.
